Hotel Diary: Andaz Tokyo (English)

Hello, I’m Mamington, a working mom of three.

2 years into the pandemic, I finally made a debut to the concept of workation. I used to think that I would be wasting money to stay in a fancy hotel 15 mins from my apartment. WRONG. Putting aside the fact that this workation was paid with points, I think that hotel stays in the city are worth paying for. Here is why.

I stayed at Andaz Tokyo, one of the high end hotel lines by Hyatt located in Toranomon, Tokyo. I can already feel some excitement standing at the entrance even though I had my laptop in my bag.

Off to the guest room. I chose the Park View King this time around as I did not have my kids with me. I walked in, and I was mesmerized by the view that this single room had to offer me. HOW GORGEOUS.

A long relaxing couch, a desk, and a table. I think the desk and table can be used interchangeably, and if you are workationing as a couple, having 2 sets would be convenient. The room was facing the north side. Well hello Tokyo Sky Tree, good to see you too!

Next comes the bathroom and amenities area. I feel like a classy grown up (even if it is just for one day). Plenty of amenities including Japanese yukata robes and an adorably colorful box of skincare items. I thought they were a box of macarons at first.

And of course, there are plenty of freebies around the fridge too.

And finally my favorite part. HOTEL BREAKFAST.

I love buffets because I love to eat. Andaz offered a wide variety of all you can eat dishes in addition to a special entree. I chose the peach pancakes this time. Delicious. The coffee was amazing too. Resulting calories were ignored.

Enjoyable moments pass by so quickly does it not. What a luxury. I want to go back again tomorrow. Can staying in hotel rooms be a job??? Until the next time, the life of a working mom continues…
